Killer Chocolate

First an admission: this is not a restaurant. It is not even a takeout place. This is just chocolate. But really really good chocolate.
So I’m working the other day going from patient to patient, and I strike up a conversation with one of the nurses, Alex. He has a chocolate business.
“Oh like you make chocolates in your kitchen and sell them?”
No. In a professional kitchen. And he only sells them to the select few. He offered me one, an orange foil wrapped leaf.
It was hands down the best chocolate I had ever had.
The perfect blend of bitterness and sweetness with a lush mouthfeel. Filled with real orange rind blended with more bittersweet chocolate.
I forked over 20 bucks and bought a box right there.
Of course then I left them in the urgent care and have been on pins and needles all week wondering if they would still be there. Thankfully someone stashed them in the back of a drawer. I ate another one, and they are as good as I remembered.
I need more of them.
And I just checked out his webpage and it says “coming soon.”
So this is a plea. Alex, make more!

Thanks Sara!
Appreciate the compliments on the chocolate. The website is up and functioning although ordering is still by phone or email for just a couple more months until my web technician can integrate the credit card processing.
Our ‘Tastes of the Empire’, a treasured chocolate sampler of the world’s finest couvature chocolate is also available. Pictures will soon be appearing in the Products section of our website.
So you know, it wasn’t orange you were tasting. It was Clementine with single-origin Grand Cru Manjari from Madagascar. If you like that one, I’ll bring you some of the 70% Dark Bittersweet German chocolate filled with my secret Key Lime!
Shhh! These are the most elegant, decadent, powerful and satisfying truffles ever! By appointment only!
Do you like coffee? How about a 65%Grand Cru chocolate from South America filled with Cuban Espresso? Dr. E tried one and literally melted herself to Heaven the other day!
Talk to you again soon.

If you are a chocaholic you may not be very discerning, and you may think that any chocolate will do, but you would be mistaken. Alexander’s Chocolates will surpass your wildest chocloate dreams. I have always been a chocolate lover, but could take or leave most of what is easily available in the local stores. That all ended once I tried one of Alexander’s truffles. The fruit essence truffles are my favorites, including pomegranate, strawberry and satsuma. The richness of the chocolate coupled with the very fresh-off-the-plant taste of the fruit is sublime. These are not truffles for munching on, these are delights to be savored. They have a perfect and not oversweet flavor that showcases both the chocolate and its feel in the mouth as well as the amazing taste of the fruits. You have to try these to believe them. The chocolate product currently available via the website is a treat, and is the pure sensation of the finest chocolate in your mouth. These are nibbled, and savored, not tossed down. If you really love chocolate you will be in ecstasy with these. Try one and you will be hooked too. I am a frequent flyer and always watching for Alexander’s to develop new sensations for me to experience. These are the best chocolates I have ever tasted, bar none. Enjoy!

Truly the best chocolates I have had since being in Europe. It’s great to know there is still a passion for chocolates made right. Alex and Steve have created some wonderful blends that not only wake up the taste buds but are just orgasmic. Everyone at the office just loved the chocolates, along with the history and of course the classic presentation. The realtors in our office are going to use the chocolates as thank you gifts for clients; I’m going to their open houses!

I have been lucky to experience the distinctive taste of Alexander's Chocolate Classics. I had never cared for dark chocolate before I tasted one of Alex's creations. I followed the directions included with the package on how to really taste and savor the chocolate and I truly fell in love in that instant. And then when I tried his truffles, all I can say is WOW!! The way he mixes the tastes…the sweetness of the fruit gnache against the bitterness of the differnet chocolates is the perfect blend to bring out the best of both. I can't wait to try every new taste sensation Alex & Steve create and I will NEVER settle for just plain chocolate again.

The consulting firm I work with recently hosted an open house which was themed as a “Taste of” event. With the help and advice of Alex and Steve, we created some excellent pairings of wine and beer with the chocolate coins from Alexander’s Fine Chocolate. We discovered some FANTASTIC flavors through the pairings. Two of the most surprising pairings were the Alexander’s copper and gold with Frambois beer as well as the bronze and gold with a very nice French Muscat. You should try it!
